Today I learned in a quiz show that there is a hotel in Edinburgh the clock of which is always fast, except one day of the year.
Reason: The hotel is beside the railwaystation and the clock is always two minutes fast so the guests will reach their trains in time. Only on New Year's Eve it shows midnight punctually. This has been that way since 1902.
Comment of the team: In Germany the clock should be 20 minutes slow so nobody has to wait too long for the (always late) train.

Now, how true is that!

The hotel in mention is called the Balmoral Hotel. it was once called The North British Hotel.
There official website is as follows.
http://www.thebalmoralhotel.com
I shall let you all look at the price per night for staying at this City Centre Hotel. I shall look forward to your remarks.

Wanna have a laugh? After reading the name I checked my holiday diary and can't get rid of the idea that I've been staying right there in 1998.
