The next British Transplant Games will take place in Edinburgh, Thursday 26th July to Sunday 29th July 2007. Edinburgh is a city with a rich heritage, internationally renowned architecture and a vibrant arts and social scene. It is certainly an elegant and cultured city, but also a fun, youthful city. Home to stylish bars, cafes, restaurants and designer stores, Edinburgh buzzes day and night.
The Games Village will be the University of Edinburgh's accommodation campus which lies within the shadow of Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh's ancient volcano and close to the Royal Mile, Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyrood House.
The Sports Venues will be in close proximity around the City and include the Royal Commonwealth Pool, Meadowbank Sports Stadium, the Royal Highland Centre and the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
The Local Organising Committee have been working hard on the planning and organisation for the last 18 months. We have made some excellent contacts with the city, the university and the MSP's and are actively fundraising.
TSUK have contracted an Events Director, John Timms from MLS, who has joined our LOC this spring and both his and Emma's experience and professional approach, will help us ensure that these Games will remain in everyone's memories for a lifetime.

Please tell everyone you meet in your clinics about these Games and invite them to come along. We are aiming for 1000 competitors, and there will be a prize for the team who bring the most new competitors!
We are really looking forward to welcoming you all to what we are sure will be a truly memorable 'Scottish' experience!
We are keeping these dates free.
I was a helper the last time these games were help in Edinburgh back in 1985. I was involved with the two way radio link on CB Radio between the Commonwealth Pool and meadowbank Stadium.
I plus our team of helpers enjoyed the weekend. I am not sure about the rest ot the helpers but I still have my helpers medal.
