I watched The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, I thought it was very funny and very quirky... I am a fan of films such as Royal Tennanbaums, Rushmore and Cohen Brothers' movies, so I am probably biased in saying that I really enjoyed this as well.
However, this is about an explorer (Bill Murray) who makes documentaries of his adventures of life on and in the sea, a bit like Jacque Cousteau, but his marriage is falling apart, his business is almost bankrupt, his mentor and best friend was eaten by a possible mythical (Jaguar!) shark during their last voyage and a guy turns up claiming he is his illegitimate son.
So after arranging funding for his next make or break voyage (to find the Jaguar shark that ate his friend) the crew of the Belafontain run into pirates, uncharted seas, government interference and a roving female reporter that both Steve Zissou and his (possible) son both fall in love with.
To the uninitiated this could be a tedious, slow and too quirky for its own good-type-film. But I liked it and found it funny and interesting.
I also watched Constantine. Basically Keanu Reeves in a suit running around killing demons and saving souls in a typical big budget Hollywood no brainer thrill ride. The comic book (Hellblazer) from where the character comes from, is much better.

Saw "The Fantastic Four" on Sunday. On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate it a 5.

Was talking to a friend on the phone the other night, she told me about two movies that have come out on dvd which she was convinced i saw both with her at the cinermas, after some time convinced her otherwise she told me a bit about them, one of those sounded really good so i rented it out 'The Ring 2'. But didn't realise it wasn't the one i liked at all after the first 10 minutes, but i watched it anyway...and i tell you what that was the 2 movie and all i can say is i'm not game enough to watch the 1. Elly told me she saw the 1st one and was freaked out by it so there is no way you'll see me watching it any time soon...i'm a chicken. but all in all it was a good movie...but would still like to see the one i wanted in the first place..lol.

Krystal, I've seen both, the Ring 1 and 2 and I tell you, I was scared to death by the first one, even dreamed a while of it, especially the scary well. I liked them anyway, somehow. Which one did you watch, the English or Asian one?
