Hi just to let you all know that the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Edinburgh Tattoo are on at the present time. The Tattoo is based at Edinburgh Castle while the Fringe Festival is spread all over the city. During the day at Festival we have a lot of street performers doing there acts etc. The whole of Edinburgh is just one big circus of people over the next few weeks. Both Christine and myself were in Edinburgh last night watching some of the street shows. ( Also see Saor Patrol in Music Corner ) . We will be spending some time in Edinburgh over the next few weeks and will try to report back with what we seen when in visiting.

Hi to you all. I was trying to submit these photos on the forum last night but came over a problem which I think I now have solved so here goes. We spent some time in Edinburgh yesterday afternoon watching some of the street shows. But on the way in we took a drive round Arthur seat to take in the views from he road side. And would like to share these with you all. This is from Arthur Seat looking towards East Lothian. This is from Arthur Seat looking towards Gorebridge. This is from Arthur Seat looking towards the Pentland Hills and the Hillend All year Ski Slope. From Arthur Seat looking towards the Castle. The Purple thing is one of the festival Venues. Close up of the Castle Looking towards Salisbury Crags this is part of Arthur Seat. Then we parked in the city centre and went for walk around the street shows taking in the views around Edinburgh also. This is looking down on to the Sir Walter Scot Monument. Sir Walter Scot taken from Princes Street gardens. Looking down at the crowds in Princes Street out side Jenners Shop. Looking up the Royal Mile towards the castle. Looking down the Royal Mile. This is some of the cast from " THE ALL PURPOSE MONSTER " show which is an evening show doing some day time advertising. This is some Chinese Students who are doing a show about getting ready for a chinese wedding. Most of the design work on the clothing is done by the Manageress of our local Chinese Takeaway. Close up of one of the Students. Another street show in Princes Street Gardens. This is another show walking about the streets of Edinburgh advertising there show. I hope this gives you all an idea of what Edinburgh is like during the Festival. We shall report back with more.

What kind of problems do you have, Neil? I'm using ImageShack but never had any problems yet. Which browser do you use? I know that it has a bit of problem with version 9.0 of "Opera".

Sorry I have not submitted more photos overthe last day or two from the festival. This has been due to small problem I have had at this end. It would appear to have been caused by a conflict of drivers on the computer. Not sure if I have fully solved the problem or not but things are going better this morning. After getting a friend to work on the computer over night for me. We however were in Edinburgh last night to watch Clann An Drumma. And this is some of the photos that I took. Some of the crowd at last nights show Joe getting the crowd involved with the show. This might be trouble Bass Drummer Tu-Bardh with my Grandson ( Andrew ) and his mother ( Avril ) after the show. Thanks again to my friend who uplifted my computer at 11.30pm last night and had it returned to me at 8.30am this morning. He appears to have solved the problem. Neil

How could I miss this thread? #rollingeyes# Great information and pics as always. The Edinburgh Tattoo and Fringe Festival is a great place to attend to. Got to see both of it in 1996 and was thrilled.
