Yes, I do. Celtic and Native American spirituality have a lot of similarities. I once wrote an article about it, now if I only could find it again; I lost it due to the HD crash but I should have made a rough print, too... #confused# There have been many intermarriages between Scots and Native American people; and I think the reasons for it are caused in spiritual and social similarities as family and clan/tribal structures and values.
As for this proverb - yes, I believe it is very true. Of course it's my sons and I would give my own life for each of them - but they are a gift from our Creator that he might take away again any time. We all don't belong to anyone else but him.
