Two men run into each other at the supermarket. The first one is all flustered and apologizes, "Oh, I'm so sorry, but I'm so confused; I'm looking for my wife who is shopping here and can't find her!" The other man replies, "Same here! I've been looking for mine for half an hour at least! How is your wife looking like?" "Well, she has long blonde hair, she's tall, tanned, she has big boobs and all, she's waering a mini-skirt and a tight white tank top, no bra and high heels. And how is yours looking like? Maybe I've seen her..." "Oh, f*** her, let's have a look for yours!"

Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people business. Several members did not approve of her activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence. She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new church member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told George (and several others) that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing. George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and then just turned and walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny... He said nothing. Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house... Walked home... And left it there all night. You gotta love George.

Well, the German team finally did it and reached the final on Sunday. They didn't have the best performance but other than other "big" teams like Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, France etc. they managed to win their matches. In the end this is what counted - a victory.
Spain is playing an excellent football. If the Germans are able to perform like they did vs. Portugal they have a chance to win, if it's a performance like last time (vs. Turkey) - oh my oh my...
I hope we will see an exiting and good match with two teams peerforing well and fighting bravely! But of course I keep my fingers crossed; I'm German, what can I do, eh?

"Sell a country? Why not sell the air, the great sea, as well as the earth? Did not the Great Spirit make them all for the use of his children?" --Tecumseh, SHAWNEE
"The White Man's way is to possess, control and divide. It has always been difficult for Indian people to understand this. There are certain things we cannot own that must be shared. The Land is one of these things. We need to re-look as what what we are doing to the Earth. We are digging in her veins and foolishly diminishing the natural resources. We are not living in balance. We do not own the Earth; the Earth owns us. Today, let us ponder the true relationship between the Earth and ourselves."
To me there is a lot of truth in it.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULLI went to see the movie and as always I tried to keep my expectations a bit low in order not to be disappointed too much. But of course I was very curious and I WANTED to see "my" Indy again. We have grown older since the first Indiana Jones movie - but Indy is till the same. What does that mean? Maybe that some things bother us more than back then, some a bit ridiculous or illogical scenes. But hey, in the old Indy films there where tons of ridiculous stunts and it always was very cartoonish and yes, often cheesy. And we still loved them for what they are. They are just adventures with a lot of action, mystic and fun, not more. The movie is still an Indiana Jones Movie, it has so many running gags and links to the first three ones, it's truly a tribute to the fans. (Even that Indy starts Mutt to call 'Junior' was a nice one.) This one is a typical Indiana Jones movie, because it just delivers elements that can be found in the first three movies too (the car chases, insects, falling down of waterfalls, e.g.) - but what else do we want? So, maybe just watch the first three again, then relax and just sit back and enjoy this one. It's not supposed to be drop dead serious and realistic. I wasn't bored throughout the whole movie, it was very entertaining. And Harrison Ford? Lucas said he still did all the stunts himself. At the age of 65. And if you ask me I'd say he's probably looking even better than in the other movies - or is it because I have grown older, too? Indiana Jones is back.

Iused to watch the "Kölner Haie" (Cologne Sharks) and Frankfurt Lions play. Unfortunately I don't have the time to do that often. Besides of football ( soccer ) it's one of my favourite sports.
