Artist: Paul Young Song: I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down
You think you've got it all set up
You think you've got the perfect plan To charm everyone you see and playing any game you can. But I've got news for you I hope it don't hit you too hard: One of these days while you're at play I'm gonna catch you off-guard.
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down pretty soon. I'm gonna tear your playhouse down room by room.
You make our lives a stress and strain using the power play. All you do is pass around - hearts you use as play toys. You've been playing madly with every mind in town. So what you gonna do when you look up one day And see your playhouse tumbling down? I'm gonna tear your playhouse down pretty soon . . .
You think you've got it all set up
You think you've got the perfect plan To charm everyone you see and playing any game you can. You've been playing madly with every mind in town. So what you gonna do when you look up one day And see your playhouse tumbling down?
I'm gonna tear your playhouse down pretty soon . . . I'm gonna tear your playhouse down. pretty soon . . .

Time After Time
Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick, And think of you Caught up in circles Confusion is nothing new Flashback--warm nights-- Almost left behind Suitcase of memories, Time after--
Sometimes you picture me-- I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me, I can't hear What you've said-- Then you say--go slow-- I fall behind-- The second hand unwinds
CHORUS: If you're lost you can look--and you will find me Time after time If you fall I will catch you--I'll be waiting Time after time
After my picture fades and darkness has Turned to gray Watching through windows--you're wondering If I'm OK Secrets stolen from deep inside The drum beats out of time--
CHORUS
You said go slow-- I fall behind The second hand unwinds--
CHORUS Time after time Time after time Time after time Time after time

Canto Alla Vita (Song To Life)
the English version
Dedicated to the one who guilty or innocent Lost in this sea Yielded to the stream Who didn't ever be a winner
Dedicated to the one always keeping a hope In front of a sorrow In the cold of a room
Dedicated to the one searching his own freedom
I sing to life To all its beauty To every wound of it To every caresse of it
I sing to life To it's tragic beauty To pain and to strife Let all that dance through me The rise and the fall I lived through it all
Dedicated to the one who always made it dry Like possessed, slipped through fingers It was always already over
I sing to life Reflected into your eyes Easy and endless Promised land for us
I sing to life Sweet and even fierce To this journey of ours Which still puts us in chains
It calls us...
Don't ever doubt ( x 2 ) Don't ever leave it alone Alone ... still ...
I sing to life Sweet and even fierce To this journey of ours Which still puts us in chains
It calls us...

The Eagles - New Kid In Town .
There's talk on the street; it sounds so familiar Great expectations, everybody's watching you People you meet, they all seem to know you Even your old friends treay you like you're something new Johnny come lately, the new kid in town Everybody loves you, so don't let them down You look in her eyes; the music begins to play Hopeless romantics, here we go again But after awhile, you're lookin' the other way It's those restless hearts that never mend Johnny come lately, the new kid in town Will she still love you when you're not around? There's so many things you should have told her, but night after night you're willing to hold her, Just hold her, tears on your shoulder There's talk on the street, it's there to Remind you, that it doesn't really matter which side you're on. You're walking away and they're talking behind you They will never forget you 'til somebody new comes along Where you been lately? There's a new kid in town Everybody loves him, don't they? Now he's holding her, and you're still around Oh, my, my There's a new kid in town Ooh, hoo Everybody's talking 'bout the new kid in town Ooh, hoo Everybody's walking' like the new kid in town There's a new kid in town There's a new kid in town I don't want to hear it There's a new kid in town I don't want to hear it There's a new kid in town There's a new kid in town There's a new kid in town

You fill up my Senses
You fill up my senses Like a night in the forest Like the mountains in springtime Like a walk in the rain Like a storm in the desert Like a sleepy blue ocean You fill up my senses Come fill me again
Come let me love you Let me give my life to you Let me drown in your laughter Let me die in your arms Let me lay down beside you Let me always be with you Come let me love you Come love me again
Let me give my life to you Come let me love you Come love me again
You fill up my senses Like a night in the forest Like the mountains in springtime Like a walk in the rain Like a storm in the desert Like a sleepy blue ocean You fill up my senses Come fill me again

MOODY BLUES
"The Story In Your Eyes" I've been thinking about our fortune And I've decided that we're really not to blame For the love that's deep inside us now Is still the same And the sounds we make together Is the music to the story in your eyes It's been shining down upon me now I realize Listen to the tide slowly turning Wash all our heartaches away We're part of the fire that is burning And from the ashes we can build another day But I'm frightened for your children That the life that we are living is in vain And the sunshine we've been waiting for Will turn to rain Listen to the tide slowly turning Wash all our heartaches away We're part of the fire that is burning And from the ashes we can build another day But I'm frightened for the children That the life that we are living is in vain And the sunshine we've been waiting for Will turn to rain When the final line is over It's certain that the curtain's gonna fall I can hide inside your sweet sweet love For ever more

Who I Am Lyrics
by Jessica Andrews
If I live to be a hundred And never see the seven wonders That'll be alright If I don't make it to the big leagues If I never win a Grammy I'm gonna be just fine Cause I know exactly who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter The spitting image of my father And when the day is done my momma's still my biggest fan Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy But I've got friends that love me And they know just where I stand It's all a part of me And that's who I am
So when I make a big mistake And when I fall flat on my face I know I'll be alright Should my tender heart be broken I will cry those teardrops knowing I will be just fine Cause nothing changes who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter The spitting image of my father And when the day is done my momma's still my biggest fan Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy But I've got friends that love me And they know just where I stand It's all a part of me And that's who I am
I'm a saint and I'm a sinner I'm a loser; I'm a winner I am steady and unstable I'm young, but I am able
I am Rosemary's granddaughter The spitting image of my father And when the day is done my momma's still my biggest fan Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy But I've got friends that love me And they know where I stand It's all a part of me And that's who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter The spitting image of my father And when the day is done my momma's still my biggest fan Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy But I've got friends that love me And they know where I stand It's all a part of me And that's who I am That's who I am

The following song is still giving me moisty eyes. For me it's associated forever with the fall of the Iron Curtain and the Wall in Berlin. I saw the pictures on TV that night; people from the East part of the city stepping into the West part, cars driving through the gates; the view, the look in the eyes and on the faces of the people ... somehow still unable to realise and to comprehend what this moment meant for all of us. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried because it was so unbelievable, so great... and then they played the song "Wind of Change" by The Scorpions...everyone with a heart shed tears then... The band played this song one year ago in Moskva; the first time ever a rockband from the West was allowed to perform there. And only one year later the wall came down.
WIND OF CHANGE by The Scorpions
I follow the Moskva Down to Gorky Park Listening to the wind of change An August summer night Soldiers passing by Listening to the wind of change
The world closing in Did you ever think That we could be so close, like brothers The future's in the air I can feel it everywhere Blowing with the wind of change
Chorus: Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away In the wind of change
Walking down the street Distant memories Are buried in the past forever
I follow the Moskva Down to Gorky Park Listening to the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away In the wind of change
The wind of change blows straight Into the face of time Like a stormwind that will ring The freedom bell for peace of mind Let your balalaika sing What my guitar wants to say
Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away In the wind of change

Seasons Of Love
Five hundred twenty-five thousand Six hundred minutes, Five hundred twenty-five thousand Moments so dear. Five hundred twenty-five thousand Six hundred minutes How do you measure, measure a year?
In Daylights, in sunsets, in midnights In cups of coffee In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In five hundred twenty-five thousand Six hundred minutes How do you measure A year in the life?
How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love
Seasons of love. Seasons of love.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand Six hundred minutes! Five hundred twenty-five thousand Journeys to plan.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand Six hundred minutes How do you measure the life Of a woman or a man?
In truths that she learned, Or in times that he cried, In bridges he burned, Or the way that she died.
It's time now to sing out, Tho' the story never ends Let's celebrate Remember a year in the life of friends Remember the love! Remember the love! Remember the love Measure in love Seasons of love! Seasons of love.
Oh you got to remember the love, You know that love is a gift from up above Share love, give love, spread love Measure, measure your life in love.

The Bells of St. Mary's Ring out, ring out, ring out sweet bells! The bells of St. Mary's, Ah! here they are calling, the young loves, the true loves, who come from the sea . . . And so my beloved, when red leaves are falling, the love bells shall ring out, ring out, for you and me! The bells of St. Mary's, that sweet eventide, shall call me beloved to come to your side . . . And out in the valley, in sound of the sea, I know you'll be waiting, just waiting for me! Just waiting, just waiting, Just waiting for me! The bells of St. Mary's, Ah! here they are calling, the young loves ( the young loves ) the true loves ( the true loves ) who come from the sea . . . And so my beloved, when red leaves are falling, the love bells shall ring out, ring out, for you and me! Music by A. Emmett Adams with lyrics by Douglas Furber, 1917

Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead When the skies of November turn gloomy.
With a load of iron ore - 26,000 tons more Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed When the gales of November came early
The ship was the pride of the American side Coming back from some mill in Wisconson As the big freighters go it was bigger than most With a crew and the Captain well seasoned.
Concluding some terms with a couple of steel firms When they left fully loaded for Cleveland And later that night when the ships bell rang Could it be the North Wind they'd been feeling.
The wind in the wires made a tattletale sound And a wave broke over the railing And every man knew, as the Captain did, too, T'was the witch of November come stealing.
The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait When the gales of November came slashing When afternoon came it was freezing rain In the face of a hurricane West Wind
When supper time came the old cook came on deck Saying fellows it's too rough to feed ya At 7PM a main hatchway caved in He said fellas it's been good to know ya.
The Captain wired in he had water coming in And the good ship and crew was in peril And later that night when his lights went out of sight Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Does anyone know where the love of God goes When the words turn the minutes to hours The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay If they'd fifteen more miles behind her.
They might have split up or they might have capsized They may have broke deep and took water And all that remains is the faces and the names Of the wives and the sons and the daughters.
Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings In the ruins of her ice water mansion Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams, The islands and bays are for sportsmen.
And farther below Lake Ontario Takes in what Lake Erie can send her And the iron boats go as the mariners all know With the gales of November remembered.
In a musty old hall in Detroit they prayed In the Maritime Sailors' Cathedral The church bell chimed, 'til it rang 29 times For each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee Superior, they say, never gives up her dead When the gales of November come early.
This actually happened here in Michigan:
The legend of the Edmund Fitzgerald remains the most mysterious and controversial of all shipwreck tales heard around the Great Lakes. Her story is surpassed in books, film and media only by that of the Titanic. Canadian folksinger Gordon Lightfoot inspired popular interest in this vessel with his 1976 ballad, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." The Edmund Fitzgerald was lost with her entire crew of 29 men on Lake Superior November 10, 1975, 17 miles north-northwest of Whitefish Point, Michigan. Whitefish Point is the site of the Whitefish Point Light Station and Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. The Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society (GLSHS) has conducted three underwater expeditions to the wreck, 1989, 1994, and 1995.
At the request of family members surviving her crew, Fitzgerald's 200 lb. bronze bell was recovered by the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society on July 4, 1995. This expedition was conducted jointly with the National Geographic Society, Canadian Navy, Sony Corporation, and Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. The bell is now on display in the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum as a memorial to her lost crew.
