This is a band I was told about over the weekend. They are called THE RED HOT CHILLI PIPERS. So I just had to do what I expect you shall do. That is to look at there website at www.redhotchillipipers.co.uk The band members each have a good CV and I think this showed in Thailand where they stunned more than 30000 rock fans when they played We Will Rock You and Eye Of The Tiger. I understand that they are now planning to a tour to America. More details from www.redhotchillipipers.co.uk

A little bit more on the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
Name: Red Hot Chilli Pipers Age: 24 - 41 Talent: Rock piping band Background: There aren't many groups which can boast members that include the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2005, a twice-world champion snare drummer and three recent graduates from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD), but the Red Hot Chilli Pipers are just such a band.
The band was came together when four the musicans within the group performed at Kevin MacDonald's wedding. They realised they could perform this act for corporate events, and a business was born!
The group appeared on the main stage at the T in the Park festival with the headline band, rock group The Darkness. The group is in high demand, performing all over the world from the USA to China. HRH The Princess Royal, Ewan McGregor, Phil Collins and The Darkness are known to be big fans of the band!
Stuart Cassells Falkirk's Stuart Cassells won the 2005 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year. Against stiff competition from around Scotland. Stuart lifted the trophy at The Celtic Connections Festival on January 23rd 2005 in a storming performance at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Stuart is an Honours Graduate from Glasgow's Royal College of Music and Drama, the first to complete its piping-specific course.
Stuart's piping has seen him invited to join Scotland's First Minister Jack McConnell on his official visit to China, to perform at The Scottish Proms, and to be part of the Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire".
Distinctly non-traditional developments, however, include an invitation to join glam-rockers "The Darkness" on a track for their second album - Stuart also plays with the "Red Hot Chilli Pipers" and they met up with The Darkness at Scotland's "T in the Park" music festival joining them on stage for a rip-roaring set of tunes.
Pipe Major Bill Livingstone invited Stuart to join Canada's prestigious 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band for the 2006 contest season. The traditional aspect of Stuart's playing can be evidenced by the fact that he has had stints with such notable bands as Scottish Power and the Vale of Atholl.
His first solo album entitled "Blown Away" was released in May 2006.
Willie Armstrong started playing the pipes at 14 years of age. Progressed to Grade 1 and played with the Glasgow Skye Pipe Band for 5 years, Willie started taking further tuition under Pipe Major Roddy McLeod MBE in 1997. Willie is also currently a member with the world renowned Grade 1 Pipe Band - The ScottishPower Pipe Band.
Kevin MacDonald began piping at the age of seven with the 47th Culter B.B in Aberdeen. Having moved to Central Scotland in the early 90's, he played under the tutelage of Lorne Brown at Wallacestone Pipe Band and Linlithgow Pipe Band. In 1997 he joined the grade one Glasgow Skye Pipe Band, led by Iain Roddick, before moving to the Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band after Iain's retiral as pipe major of the Glasgow Skye.
Steven Graham has progressed from being the leading drummer of the Juvenile Lochgelly High School Pipe Band to being a member of the World famous drum corps of the House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band, the 2005 World Pipe Band Champions. This being the second time Steven has won the World Pipe Band Championship. He has recently graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with an honours degree in Scottish Music.
Malcolm McEwan is now member of the Grade 1 David Urquhart Travel Pipes and Drums having learned originally with the Annan Pipe Band and being the first percussion graduate from the RSAMD Scottish Music course.

Just a quick note to let you all know that the Red Hot Chilli Pipers website has been updated. And they have added a Testimonial Page well after having a look what can one say.
