If you ever have a chance to see the "Deadwood" series on TV please tune in. I've found out that the characters portrayed on the show were once real people. I will Llady, it sound familiar, will keep a look out for it, I enjoy programmes based on real lives So do I. I think that it is because we enjoy history so much.

Smudger Man From Uncle's baddies were from T.H.R.U.S.H. ( Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity). Both S.P.E.C.T.E.R. and S.M.E.R.S.H. were James Bond's cold war bad guys. I don't remember any one boss from the earlier episodes of the series. It seems that there were a lot of THRUSH villians though. In the 80's version was it Justin Sepheran played by Anthony Zerbe? www.manfromuncle.org/episodes.htmmembers.aol.com/Wmkoenig/uncleret.htm

Another one of my favorite villians that is evil just because he is. Wishmaster and its three sequels are films about a Djinn that is released from a jewel, and seeks to capture enough souls to open a portal and free his fellow Djinni from their prison. The Djinn does this by granting a wish that also captures the wisher's soul. Andrew Divoff played the lead role in the first two films. In each movie, the Djinn goes about this a different way, but in all of the movies the three wishes must be granted to the "Waker", the person who released the Djinn from the imprisoning gem (in all four movies a woman). In all four movies, the Djinn is resealed or destroyed before it can release its comrades and create a literal Hell on Earth. In the first two movies this is accomplished by undoing previous wishes with the third wish. In the third, the Waker dies before the wish can be made. In the fourth and final movie, the Waker actually makes a third wish early on in the movie, but the Djinn is unable to grant the wish (for the Waker to love him for who he really is) and finally gets killed by the Waker's parapalegic boyfriend.
