We decided to go for mystery drive in the car. So it was follow the front of the car and lets see where we end up. This was Creiff in Perthshire.
We left our home in Gorebridge Midlothian and headed for the Southern side of Edinburgh then headed west along the A720 then on to the M8 westlink then straight onto the M9 at Newbridge for a approx 1 mile then we headed north on the new link road to the Forth Road Bridge then north on the M90 to Junction 4 ( Kelty ) where we headed west for Knockhill Motor Racing Circuit. We stopped just north of this location to take some photos looking towards the Wallace Monument just north of Stirling. Yes this how good a view you can get on a good day.
This looking west towards Stirling.
This looking towards the new of road section of Knockhill Racing Circuit. Which is mainly used forthe MotoX bikes
We then continued to travel north via Rumbling Brig - Yetts O muckhart - Glendevon then Gleneagles where stopped again to take photos.
This is looking towards the Famous Gleneagles Hotel. You just make our the roof behind the trees.
And then we travelled via Muthill and in to Creiff.
While walking alongthe Main Street in Creiff we came over a peruvian Band called Tribus Del Sol playing tracks from there Embrace The Spirit Album.
this a short video clip of the band in action www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JzophRx7wU
Both Christine and myself wish this band the best of luck with there new album.
The band originates from Lima Peru. But have been based in Edinburgh, Scotland since 1994. They also regularly participate in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Kantaro's musical style varies from traditional Andean music to festive and tropical Latin Rhythms.
They have toured extensively in the UK. Some of the events we have participated in have included the Royal Highland Show 2000; Birmingham Latin American Festival 2001. They have performed in Spain and Portugal (Summer 2000). They perform locally at a variety of venues such as Mexican restaurants, salsa clubs and Hotels. They are also employed on a frequent basis by a number of agencies in Scotland.
We we left Creiff we headed west for a small village called Cromrie where we turned left and headed south over the moor to the village of Braco.
We stopped on the top of the moor to take in the views looking south. And I ended up helping a Dutch Motorcyclist plan his weeks touring in highlands.
We then headed for Dunblane and Stirling and then onto the M9 and south to Edinburgh and then via the village of Lasswade Bonnyrigg and home to Gorebridge.
The weather as you shall have seen from the photos was great.
And we enjoyed the day out. Plus we have not been in this part of Scotland for a while.
Hope you also enjoyed the photos.
Neil
