Some of the fastest motorbike racers in the world will wow crowds during a free exhibition in Glasgow on Wednesday.
The Superbikes spectacle will see 20 riders complete laps of a city centre circuit between 1730 and 2000 BST.
The event heralds the build up to Scotland's two biggest motor-racing weekends at Knockhill circuit in Fife.
The Scottish rounds of the British Superbike Championship take place this weekend. The British Touring Car Championship is held one week later.
The taster event in George Square, which also includes drivers from saloon touring car racing, will kick off with a flight by Texan, Eric Scott.
Better know as "go-fast jet-pack man", he will fly above the track and right over the square powered only by a jet-pack strapped to his back.
Warm-up action with the superbikes starts at 1600 BST.
Fans will also get the chance to meet riders who will be signing autographs and showcasing their machines in the "pit and paddock" area.
Car tribute
One of those scheduled to take part is Scottish motorcycling legend and three-time British Superbike champion, Niall Mackenzie.
He said: "I was here in Glasgow for the very first Superbikes in the square last year and loved it.
"The energy around the square from the crowds and the machines makes the hairs on your neck stand up.
"This is an absolutely unique event in the UK and Glasgow should be proud to host some showboating by easily the best riders and drivers in the world."
During the event the race car of David Leslie will be on show.
Organisers said it would be a "fitting tribute" to the Dumfries-born Touring Car star who died in a light aircraft crash earlier this year.
We are at this moment concidering travelling through to watch this event tonight. Plus to watch Clann An Drumma play live at this event. So if we do travel to glasgow I shall do a report on the George Square venue.
