We over here is Scotland were very sorry to hear on the News this morning about the lose of Steve Irwin. Better know for his TV shows over here called Croc Hunter. He died I understand during filming for a new TV show. Which was to be shown later this year or early next year. He knew and fully understood the dangers of what he doing. He shall be greatly missed by us over here in Scotland. Our thoughts at this moment are with his Wife and two young Children. Bindi and Robert.
Steve you were the greatest.
Rest In Peace.
From Neil.

Its very very sad Neil, he did so much good for the animals and environment all over the world, he definitely put his money where his mouth was, he had very large pockets when it came to animals in distress, he'll be sadly missed, its a tragedy specially as you say for his young family. He was well loved here in his homeland as well, for his big generous heart and passion for all living things.
His family have been offered a state funeral in memory of his humane work, no word has been given whether they would prefer a private funeral but it was a nice gesture, actually no word from his family has been given just a spokesman, his wife and 2 young children were on a camping holiday in Tasmania when it happened.
there are a lot of dangerous and venomous animals, mammals and reptiles here, it seems pretty ironic he was killed by a freak accident with a normally placid species.

Seemingly he was buried at the week-end in a private funeral, his father turned down a state funeral, saying his son was just an everyday knockabout bloke and would never have wanted anything like that but they have agreed to a public memorial service.

Hey all! I am sorry to come in here so late. I adored the Croc Hunter and his family and was devasted to hear of his tragic accident and the loss for his family. Why is it the good always die young? this has been extremely upsetting to many of us Americans who have loved his work and what Steve stood for. Just wanted y'll in Oz to know that. I can understand his father turning down a state funeral. While Steve may have deserved it, I feel that he may have thought it was over the top.
I have heard many stories about Australia and that y'all who live t here have the most dangerous and venomous animals on the planet! Elly, do you see many of these yourself? Just wondering.
I heard he had a memorial service that was posted on live TV here. I did not see it, but some of my friends did. Many blessings on Steve Irwin and his family!

Seemingly the aussie Memorial Service is next Wednesday at Australia Park that he ran with his wife. I really feel for her Rosemary too, seemingly she has taken it very badly and hasn't been up to making a statement as yet. Was on the news here tonight the tickets go on sale tomorrow morning and already folk are queueing up to buy them all the money is going to various animal groups that relied on funds from Steve. In this area we have venomous spiders and snakes but haven't encountered one myself, in the water all sorts of weird and wonderful beasties, fish that look like stones that stay in shallow water if you stand on one, can be fatal, but mainly the dangerous spots are in Queensland where Steve lived, and really amazingly there are very few fatalities considering the creatures that lie in wait for us humans

I was surprised as i heard that Steve Irwin had been killed due to being speared throught he heart from a large fish , i thought how ironic and bitter to be killed . By a wild and free living species , which on that day he wanted to tell the world about . I feel sorry for his wife and two children , for them it is such a loss . Steve Irwin lived a dangerous life , reporting and personnally getting eye to eye with some of natures dangerous reptiles and mammals , he knew the score and did what he did best .
