Set in South Africa after the apartheid regime has collapsed. Hilary Swank plays a lawyer who left the country after being jailed for a short period for being friendly with black south Africans, she lives in New York, trained as a lawyer and only returns to stop a former policeman getting amnesty from crimes he commited during that time. It has a lot of twists in the story and is very very well done I thought. the only other film i have watched about this subject was 'Cry Freedom' and it left an impression with me as it is a subject i really know very little about. Well worth seeing. To be honest have never heard of this film either but was recommended to me.

I watched 'Walk The Line' a couple of weeks ago and loved it too, thought it was really well done.
Watched 'Red Dust' last week-end, with Hilary Swank, really well worth watching.

Haven't saw any of them Rosemary, been meaning to hire 'Kingdom of Heaven' but have heard mixed reviews of it, will see how you like it #happy#
I watched 'Million Dollar Baby' the other night, really enjoyed it, also started watching 'Girl in a Pearl Earing' but just couldn't get into it at all.

TRISTAN & ISOLDE The medieval legend of a princess and warrior's love affair, which threatens to tear apart an uneasy peace between England and Ireland. A tale of epic battles, royal intrigue and a timeless, star-crossed passion. Starring: James Franco, Sophia Myles, Rufus Sewell, David O'Hara, Mark Strong A few exciting battle scenes, the movie was a bit too long for me. sounds like my kind of film llady, will watch out for that one too.
