Today I learned in a quiz show that there is a hotel in Edinburgh the clock of which is always fast, except one day of the year. Reason: The hotel is beside the railwaystation and the clock is always two minutes fast so the guests will reach their trains in time. Only on New Year's Eve it shows midnight punctually. This has been that way since 1902. Comment of the team: In Germany the clock should be 20 minutes slow so nobody has to wait too long for the (always late) train.

Wanna have a laugh? After reading the name I checked my holiday diary and can't get rid of the idea that I've been staying right there in 1998.
