When we helped out back in 1985. It brought tears to our eyes watching a 2 year old girl who had just under gone a Kidney Transplant take part in events at Meadowbank Stadium. Then you had the other end of the scale a pensioner aged 70 who had a Heart transplant taking part in the 800 metres. 800 metres might not sound much to us but to someone who has under gone this type of operation it is a big stepping stone in their life. But to then asked to represent their Town or even District is an even bigger stepping stone to them. We shall be making the effort to go and watch these events and will even wear my helpers medal from 1985 at this event. We are not sure where we will be going to watch yet. But however we shall have the camera to report back to Tartan Blood. Thanks Neil, it really is a great achievement for these people and even children, quite amazing, look forward to hearing about it from you, and seeing the photos. It's a wonderful thing for you and Christine to be involved in.
